Welcome to Beautiful Box Braids! My name is Renée and I’m an experienced box braider who has been honing her craft for over 20 years. I took a much-needed hiatus from braiding because of career and family responsibilities.
I’ve been regrowing my natural hair recently after years of rockin’ a short Caeser (I’ve been “natural” for about 20 years now, rockin’ everything from locs, braids, twist outs and ‘fros—the natural hair movement is nothing new to me!). The time was right for a change so I let my hair grow out and added long box braids to my existing short ‘fro. I received so many compliments and requests for box braids that I decided to return to doing what I love best—Beautiful Box Braids.
I do a variety of braids that range from short, medium, and long on my own hair and for friends and relatives upon request. I use this website to showcase my work and teach others everything I know about box braids and natural hair care.
Beautiful Box Braids is about all things box braids. It will feature a variety of people rocking… well…box braids and all things related. Beautiful Box Braids will also feature blog posts showcasing natural hair products, box braid styles, and anything related to natural hair care. Hey Renee… i have also been natural for years… i can’t braid but i like how they look… lately my hair has been falling out in 16 inch strands at a time… i dont know if i am going to have to cut it off all over again (i did that in 2008)… do you know anything about hair shedding?
Hi….I love braids so much. Keep up the beautiful work. I hope there are braids out there that are very unique. I love doing things with my hair that havent been seen before.
